Joint Evaluation of Joint Gender Programmes in the UN System
Led by UN Women the Joint Evaluation on Joint Programmes on Gender Equality in the UN System is being undertaken jointly with UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, MDG-Fund and the Government of Spain and the Government of Norway.
This represents the first joint evaluation that will inform the UN system on whether and the extent to which joint programming in gender equality is working effectively and making a positive change with regards to gender equality and women’s empowerment, and will identify promising practices in this regard.

Evaluation of UN Women’s contribution to Prevent Violence against Women and Expand Access to Services
Evaluation of UN Women’s contribution to Prevent Violence against Women and Expand Access to Services will analyze the work of UN Women and its predecessor entities to assess the contribution to results at the global, regional and country levels and will analyze UN Women’s strategic positioning at the normative, operational and coordination level in both Preventing Violence Against Women and Women and Girls. This Thematic evaluation will directly contribute to learning and decision-making within the Violence against Women area.

Evaluation of UN Women’s contribution to Women’s Leadership and Participation in Peace and Security and Humanitarian response will analyze the work of UN Women and its predecessor entities to assess the achievement of results at the global, regional and country levels and will analyze UN Women’s strategic positioning at the normative, operational and coordination level in Peace and Security Areas. This thematic evaluations will directly contribute to learning and decision-making within the Peace and Security area.
