Evaluation strategy

The UN Women Evaluation Strategy 2022–2025 outlines how UN Women will leverage its evaluation function to provide evaluative evidence for greater impact on the lives of the women and girls it serves. It sets out four strategic areas of work:

  1. Implementing strategic corporate, regional and country portfolio evaluations;
  2. Implementing effective decentralized evaluation systems;
  3. Supporting United Nations and national stakeholder partnerships on gender-responsive evaluations; and
  4. Strengthening evaluation use.

The Corporate Evaluation Plan 2022–2025 outlines the corporate, regional and country evaluations to be led by the Independent Evaluation Service (IES) of the Independent Evaluation and Audit Services (IEAS) during 2022–2025 and aligns with the UN Women Strategic Plan 2022–2025.  

The Corporate Evaluation Plan 2022–2025 provides a coherent framework for the systematic collection of evaluation evidence on the relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability of work completed under the UN Women Strategic Plan 2022–2025.
