Who Answers to Gazan Women?: An Economic Security and Rights Research

Who answers to Gazan women? presents new UN Women research on the occupied Palestinian territory that exposes the varying coping strategies Gazan women have employed to compensate for their household's income collapse under the combined impacts of Israeli siege, internal political strife, military destruction and ongoing economic blockade.

It focuses on women economic activity in the three main areas in which they are predominantly engaged (public sector employment, agriculture and self-employment in the informal sector) and shows how crucial their economic contributions are in maintaining Gazan households' survival.
