The 2010 Annual Report of the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UN Trust Fund) highlights innovative programmes and promising practices in the field of ending violence against women and girls. Results described in this report focus on the UN Trust Fund's investments in three priority areas: prevention, expanding access to survivor services, and strengthening implementation of laws, policies and action plans.

In Argentina, India, the Russian Federation and Tanzania, a project engages women in to collect data on women's safety in cities that influences local policy decisions on urban planning and public safety.

In 2010, the UN Trust Fund distributed US$10.1 million to 13 initiatives in 18 countries and territories, which are expected to reach an estimated 2.43 million beneficiaries. To date, the UN Trust Fund has supported 317 programmes in 124 countries and territories with over $60 million in grants.
