New UN Women Logo Unveiled

During a press briefing at UN Headquarters in New York on 25 January, UN Women Executive Director Michelle Bachelet unveiled the organization's new logo.
The logo plays off the familiar women's symbol, but with alterations. The additional horizontal cross bar forms an equal sign, while the round shape of the women's symbol contains the globe. This hybrid creates a new symbol to convey the message of equality for women worldwide. The two sides of the logo are differentiated by colour to represent men and women, joined by the equal symbol.
