UN Women addresses allegations of sexual misconduct

UN Women has received allegations of sexual misconduct involving one of its staff members. The case is currently under investigation.
We recognize the seriousness with which such a case should be treated.
As the UN entity for Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality, UN Women works diligently to end sexual and gender-based violence. This work is a fundamental pillar of UN Women’s mission. In line with the new approach announced by the Secretary General of the United Nations, UN Women endeavors to place the right and dignity of victims at the forefront of its response efforts.
UN Women will continue to implement its zero tolerance policy and will take all necessary actions that are within its purview.
