About the event :
The Council of Ministers for Women in Central America and Dominican Republic, UN Women and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration organize the First Regional Conference on Women’s Economic Rights: Entrepreneurship, Public Policy and Access to Assets.
The Conference objectives are:
- to show, study, analyze and recommend specific actions to promote necessary changes at the regional level in both the public and the private sector,
- to allow the proper integration and participation of women in economic and social development.
The Conference also aims to promote strategic alliances that include international organizations, funding agencies, academic institutions, private companies, media and civil society to raise awareness on issues related to the effective incorporation of women in economic and social development of the region and contribute to real and effective recognition of the economic rights of women in SICA’s member countries.
