As the world leaders gather for the 67th General Assembly to discuss the Rule of Law, Finland, South Africa and UN Women wish to encourage all Member States, the United Nations system, regional organizations, and civil society to focus on strengthening women’s access to justice.
The aim of this meeting is to invite participants to make concrete commitments to action and highlight initiatives to address key challenges in women’s access to justice, for example in the areas of legal reform, women’s rights and access to justice within traditional and informal justice systems, or in conflict and post-conflict contexts.
