The Post-2015 Development Agenda

UN Women is working with civil society to safeguard the centrality of gender in the Post-2015 Development Agenda. To ensure that the voice, as well as the experience, knowledge and expertise of civil society is reflected in the content of the Post-2015 Development Agenda, UN Women is engaging widely and comprehensively with civil society organizations at all levels.

The objective is to partner with civil society to define a transformative development framework.  To this effect a number of consultations with civil society are being planned in the next months, to support and strengthen the thematic global and country consultations on the post-2015 process.

An extranet platform is being set up to facilitate on-line engagement within and among the civil society advisory groups that are being set up at the global, regional and country level, and other members of civil society who may be invited to participate in online discussions.

Forthcoming: The World We Want Campaign is a collaborative effort between the UN and civil society organizations. It invites everyone to share their vision for the post-2015 world. It will be formally launched on 24 September 2012. The inequalities consultations will be held here: http://www.worldwewant2015.org/
