The Advisory Groups will comprise individuals who have proven track records of work on the ground in areas related to gender equality and women's empowerment. The Groups will be diverse, geographically balanced and drawn from global, regional, and national gender equality networks, women's groups, academia as well as other non-governmental and grass-roots organizations.
To facilitate their communication, the Advisory Groups at the global, regional and national levels will be provided with web-based platforms to engage with each other and UN Women's senior management.
