Domestic workers gain equal rights in Brazil
On the occasion of the enactment of a new law granting equal rights to domestic workers last week, UN Women launched a study on the positive impact of formalizing such employment, both for Brazil’s economy and for the country’s efforts to reduce poverty.

Domestic Workers Count Too: Ensuring protection, upholding rights
At a side event on 11 March, UN Women launched a new briefing kit on laws and services for domestic workers and highlighted the need for more coherent, gender-sensitive and rights-based migration and labour policies, as well as accountability and compliance.
