Study reveals shocking new evidence of men’s use of violence against women and girls in Asia Pacific
One in four men admit to having raped a woman and half to using physical or sexual violence against an intimate partner. These are among the key preliminary results of a joint UN Programme which surveyed more than 10,000 men in six countries.

UN Women Executive Director calls for inclusive peace process and immediate stop to human rights abuses against women in ongoing conflict in Mali
During her on-going trip to West Africa, UN Women Executive Director called for an end to the escalating violence in the Northern territories, and strongly urged senior leaders to fully engage women in all processes set up to address the crisis in Mali.
