The project supports the promotion of women’s rights through the integration of gender perspectives in efforts to prevent violent extremism. This support is through increase participation of women in security and preventing violent extremism discourse in different platforms and relevant mechanisms. In addition to expanding the knowledge base on gender and violent extremism by conducting localized research and systematic awareness-raising activities, inclusion of women-led grassroots and CSOs in various inter-governmental processes aiming to prevent violent extremism.

At the 2021 Generation Equality Forum, world leaders and partners committed to eliminating gender inequalities and to financing and implementing laws, policies, and programmes to meet priority actions and targets in a Global Acceleration Plan for Gender Equality. Through a survey of commitment-makers, this report sheds light on the nature of the commitments made and assesses measurable progress. It highlights trends and notes where more work is needed.

The UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment, established by the United Nations Secretary-General in 2016, brought together leaders from different constituencies to launch a shared global agenda to accelerate women’s economic empowerment in support of implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. UN Women's youth and gender equality strategy: Empowered young women and young men as partners in achieving gender equality.

This strategy harnesses UN Women’s long-standing commitment to indigenous women and represents the organization’s first official frame of reference for bringing its programming to scale in a coherent and consistent manner across the organization, to deliver on indigenous issues at global, regional, and country levels.

Based on the research paper on Gender-Sensitive Remittances and Asset-Building in the Philippines, this policy brief aims to present a set of gender-sensitive policy recommendations and good practices for empowerment of Filipino women migrant workers with particular attention to the gender dimension of remittances and development in the Philippines.

The Civil Society Advisory Groups (CSAG) Strategy is a key guide for UN Women country and regional offices to set up and renew CSAGs, clarify functions and expectations, and optimize their work. It is also a key document for the public to understand the functioning and goals of the CSAGs.

This publication aims to enhance the existing knowledge and resources on the current situation of the Filipino migrant workers with particular attention to the gender dimensions of migration. It includes accessible sex-disaggregated data and analysis of women migrants’ profiles.

The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women annual report documents the work of the UNTF grantees around the world in 2014. It highlights progress that grantees are making to prevent, address, and end violence against women and girls in all its forms. The annual report draws on the UNTF monitoring missions carried out during 2014, annual evaluation reports from grantees and discussions with partners and donors.

UN Women, in partnership with the United Nations Evaluation Group, EvalPartners, EvalGender+ and International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation, commissioned a review of the policies, systems and practices in place to promote gender-responsive evaluation.
