The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UN Trust Fund) launches its annual report for 2021, the first year of its new Strategic Plan (2021-2025). Despite multiple, overlapping crises, UN Trust Fund grantees continued to pivot and transform their operations to meet the increasing needs of women and girl survivors of violence, including those in marginalized communities.

On its 25th anniversary, the UN Trust Fund launches its annual report for 2020, which highlights the results of funded civil society and women’s rights organizations despite the challenges of COVID-19. During 2020, UN Trust Fund grantees adapted swiftly to help protect and support women and girls during the unprecedented global crisis sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This report documents UN Women’s work to accelerate the implementation of the women, peace, and security agenda throughout 2019. It highlights how to shape the global agenda; some of the organization’s numbers and solutions; how to finance the women, peace, and security agenda; and the priorities for 2020 and beyond.

Finally, it presents the results from its latest efforts to accelerate progress by fostering innovation and peer learning.

The “UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women annual report 2019” looks at the work of UN Trust Fund-funded civil society organizations during 2019, where more than two million people were reached through 61 projects, and highlights their extraordinary achievements through the year in working to end the long existing pandemic of violence against women.

This report tells UN Women’s story over the period 2019–2020. It shares how we and our many partners are striding forward to realize a better world for women and girls—one of equality and empowerment. Looking forward, we will draw on our full resources and experiences in protecting and advancing the rights of all women and girls. That is what we do and who we are, as a leader, mobilizer, convenor, provider of programmes, and partner for change.

The “UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women annual report 2018: Road to change” shows results and successes of UN Trust Fund grantees in 2018. It highlights achievements in grantees’ work to ensure access to multisectoral services, prevent violence, strengthen the implementation of laws, policies and national action plans, and to leave no one behind.

This year’s annual report highlights some of the key results achieved in 2018–2019 in strengthening global norms and standards, increasing women’s leadership and political participation, enhancing economic empowerment, ending violence against women and girls, engaging women in all aspects of peace, security and humanitarian actions, and making gender equality central to national development planning and budgeting.

Supported by photos, data, infographics, and individual stories of impact, UN Women's Fund for Gender Equality (FGE) annual report presents main aggregated results achieved by its 25 active projects. It highlights the process and outcomes of its fourth grant-making cycle, 2018–2019, a scaling and innovation initiative. The report also features FGE’s South-South and triangular cooperation strategy, a few impact news from past projects, and two grantee partners’ op-eds.

The report details key results achieved by UN Women through its role in humanitarian action in collaboration with its partners in 2018. This spans from promoting accountability for gender globally and locally and addressing the immediate needs of crisis-affected women and girls, to strengthening the resilience of the affected populations by empowering women and girls.

This publication shows that economic growth is an inherently gendered process and that gender-based inequalities can, in fact, be barriers to shared prosperity. It argues that, for growth to be gender-equitable and truly inclusive, the pattern of growth must create decent work and productive employment for women and men. This would require policymakers to rethink the role of macro-level economic policies, including trade, industrial, macroeconomic, finance, and investment policies.

Supported by infographics, the 2017 illustrated annual report sums up the evaluation function’s performance in the areas of corporate and decentralized evaluations and provides an overview of the measures undertaken to strengthen UN Women’s contribution to UN system–wide coordination and national capacity development for gender-responsive evaluation.

The 2017 annual report of the flagship programme initiative, Making Every Woman and Girl Count (MEWGC), describes the key achievements during the reporting period, including a review of activities and progress in implementing the MEWGC programme at the global, regional, and national levels. It also contains an update on resource mobilization and advocacy, a review of challenges and lessons learned, and a brief overview of plans for the forthcoming year.

Supported by photographs, data, infographics, and individual stories of impact, the 2017–2018 annual report highlights key aggregated results achieved by the Fund for Gender Equality’s (FGE) 26 active projects. It also presents the main findings and recommendations of the first FGE independent evaluation and introduces its fourth grant-making cycle, 2018–2019, a scaling and innovation initiative.

At a historic time when women’s activism is galvanized around #Metoo, #TimesUp and other movements, around the world UN Women supports women politicians, lawmakers, farmers, small business owners, civil society activists and many others to claim their rights and to be heard.
