A lunchtime dialogue on approaches and strategies for women’s meaningful participation in efforts to resolve conflict, negotiate peace, and implement peace agreements. The report of the UN Women Expert Group Meeting 2018 will be launched at this event.

UN Women’s two-day, Expert Group Meeting on “Women’s meaningful participation in negotiating peace and the implementation of peace agreements” was in May 2018. The meeting included women with direct experience working for peace, including as mediators and negotiators in peace talks, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Georgia, Kenya, Kosovo (under UNSCR1244), Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, South Sudan, Syria, Uganda, and Yemen.
