Interactive dialogue: A security sector governance approach to women, peace, and security
The implementation of the women, peace, and security agenda is closely linked to transformative reforms in the security sector, based on key principles of good governance to guide the provision and management of security. In this regard, democratic civilian control is key to ensure that security sector institutions meet the needs of the entire population, hold it accountable on gender equality, and promote representative and inclusive institutions.
Join us for an interactive discussion co-hosted by UN Women, the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance, and the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights with experts and practitioners to unpack these complex dynamics.
