(New York) UN Women Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka met today with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and former United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. They discussed gender equality and women’s empowerment in the context of several current global processes such as the upcoming 20th anniversary of the Beijing Platform for Action, the formulation of the post-2015 development agenda and the acceleration of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
