Prepared for the fifty-eighth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (2014) and the twenty-sixth session of the Human Rights Council (2014), this report describes the impact and achievements of the Trust Fund in 2013.

The UN Trust Fund 2012 Annual Report
In 2012, the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women awarded USD 8.4 million in new grants to 12 initiatives in 19 countries. New grants are expected to reach nearly 2 million beneficiaries by 2015. This report highlights the achievements and results of UN Trust Fund grantees in three key areas: preventing violence against women and girls, increasing survivor’s access to services and strengthening institutions to address violence against women and girls.


Effective Approaches to Addressing the Intersection of Violence against Women and HIV/AIDS: Findings from programmes supported by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women
This policy paper shows how ending rather than mitigating the dual blights of HIV and violence against women requires significant change in societies and societal institutions around the world. It also argues that changes must center on empowerment of women and girls, the transformation of social norms around what it means to be a man, an end to tacit and explicit acceptance of violence against women and a start to real accountability.

In 2011, the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women, managed by UN Women on behalf of the UN system, celebrated its 15th Anniversary of strategic grant-making to address one of the most pervasive human rights violations. The Annual Donor Report 2011 highlights a compelling range of results achieved during the year across the UN Trust Fund’s active grants portfolio of 96 projects in 86 countries.

Mapping of Grantees’ Outcomes, 2006 to Mid 2011
The Mapping of Grantees Outcomes presents the findings of the first UN Trust Fund Outcome Mapping exercise conducted between February and July 2011 that sheds lights on which approaches are proving most successful to end violence against women as well as on where the Fund’s investments are most effective and relevant to its objectives and priorities.
