The UN Trust Fund 2012 Annual Report
In 2012, the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women awarded USD 8.4 million in new grants to 12 initiatives in 19 countries. New grants are expected to reach nearly 2 million beneficiaries by 2015. This report highlights the achievements and results of UN Trust Fund grantees in three key areas: preventing violence against women and girls, increasing survivor’s access to services and strengthening institutions to address violence against women and girls.

Effective Approaches to Addressing the Intersection of Violence against Women and HIV/AIDS: Findings from programmes supported by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women
This policy paper shows how ending rather than mitigating the dual blights of HIV and violence against women requires significant change in societies and societal institutions around the world. It also argues that changes must center on empowerment of women and girls, the transformation of social norms around what it means to be a man, an end to tacit and explicit acceptance of violence against women and a start to real accountability.
