Am I eligible to register for CSW?
Only representatives of NGOs that have consultative status with ECOSOC may register for CSW.
To find out whether your NGO has consultative status with ECOSOC, search the name of your NGO in in the United Nations iCSO database at http://esango.un.org/civilsociety/ Please note only Special, General and Roster listed in green on the site are recognized as ECOSOC accredited, if one of the three classifications do not appear, your organization does not have consultative status.
If you are representing an NGO that has consultative status with ECOSOC, click here for step-by-step instructions and a video demonstration on how to register.
Please be aware that representatives must individually create an account in the “Indico” online registration system and must individually register for CSW65. If you have registered for CSW or other conferences previously on Indico, you do not need to create a new account. Once you have registered for the virtual CSW65, your registration needs to be approved by your organization’s conference focal point via Indico.
How many representatives can my organization approve for the virtual CSW65?
Due to the unique circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, and the implications it has on CSW65, specifically that meetings will take place virtually, and that subsequently no CSW65 grounds passes will be issued, the limit of 20 approved representatives per ECOSOC accredited organization is not relevant and will not be in effect for CSW65. Please note that the removal of the approval limit is entirely unique and specific to the virtual CSW65 due to the impacts of COVID-19, and would not, in any way, create a precedent.
When creating my Indico account, I did not receive my verification email.
If the verification email is not in your email inbox, please check your SPAM or Junk email folder. If the activation email is not in your SPAM/Junk folder, please click here for instructions on how to resend your verification email
If you have followed these steps and you still have not received the email, please contact the Indico Technical Support Team on [ Click to reveal ]
How can I modify my registration?
If your CSW registration is still pending, click "Modify" on top of your registration form in Indico.
If your CSW registration has been approved by the Conference Focal Point of your organization, you cannot modify your registration. Please contact the Conference Focal Point(s) of your organization as he/she will be able to modify your registration on your behalf.
My registration for CSW is pending, how can I complete the registration process?
UN Women is not responsible for approving your CSW65 registration. The Conference Focal Point of your organization is responsible for approving your CSW65 registration. Please contact the Conference Focal Point of your organization and request that they approve your registration on Indico. You might like to share with them these step-by-step instructions for Conference Focal Points.
A Conference Focal Point is a member of an NGO in consultative status with ECOSOC who is responsible for verifying registrations of representatives of the organization. They have been designated by their organization to approving pending registrations on the Indico site. Each organization must have one or maximum two Conference Focal Points. If you would like to know how to designate yourself as a Conference Focal Point, please click here
I am a Conference Focal Point of my organization, how do I approve my pending registrations?
As a Conference Focal Point you have access to the management area of the Indico website once you have been designated. Please find a guide on how to approve your registrations here: English | French.
If you are receiving the following message when you access the registration management area: “ The modification of this event has been restricted by its owner and you are not authorized to use it”, please be advised it can take a few days for your designation to transfer from iCSO to Indico. If you only just designated yourself as a Conference Focal Point on iCSO, please revisit Indico in a few days at which time you should be able to access the registration management area.
Indico will only recognize two Conference Focal Points per organization. Please ensure your organization’s iCSO account lists the one or two persons who you would like as your organization’s Conference Focal Point. If you modify your organization’s iCSO account, please wait a few days for the new Conference Focal Point information to transfer to Indico.
What are the main benefits of registering for the virtual CSW65?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the circumstances of how CSW65 will operate are certainly different than previous sessions. The main benefit of CSW65 registration is information sharing, as approved registrants will receive direct email communications about CSW-related activities and updates leading up to and during the session, social media packages, and information and invitations to specific events, including side events.
The sign-up forms to express interest in delivering a statement during the virtual general discussion or to express interest in making an oral intervention will be on the UN Women website in the coming weeks. It will be posted here.
