Regional distribution of programme expenses by outcome area This chart provides the distribution of UN-Women field-based programme expenses (core and non-core) in 2019 by region and outcome, in millions. For example, 2019 field-based programme expenses in Outcome 4 under the Asia Pacific region totaled $18.02 million. Financial information for the year ended 31 December 2019 has been prepared on an accrual accounting basis in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).

 

UN-Women's Revenue This chart provides an overview of UN-Women’s revenue from contributions for the period 2014-2019. It also presents regular resources and other resource projections set in the integrated budget. In 2019, total revenue was $511 million. Assessed contributions were $10.2 million. Regular resources were $143 million ($57 million less than projected) and other resources were $357 million ($117 million more than projected). The share of regular resources to other resources was 29%.

 

TOP 20 CONTRIBUTORS TO UN-WOMEN RESOURCES This chart presents the top 20 contributors to UN-Women resources in 2019. Total contributions from the top 20 funding partners was 82 per cent of total contributions in 2019, or $417.2 million. For example, the European Commission was the largest overall funding partner and contributed a total of $84.4 million (including for Spotlight).
